As part of the strategic stakeholder engagements under the AA Zaura Foundation’s Special Project — END YAN DABA CRISIS IN KANO, His Excellency Abdussalam Abdulkarim AA Zaura, President of the Foundation, held a powerful meeting yesterday, May 10, 2025, with leading Islamic scholars, Imams, and clerics at Bristol Hotel, Kano.

This high-level dialogue focused on finding lasting solutions to the growing menace of gang violence, drug abuse, and phone snatching ravaging Kano. In his address, AA Zaura reaffirmed his commitment to restoring Kano’s legacy as a hub of scholarship, commerce, and dignity, while calling for collective action to rid the state of youth restiveness and societal decay.

In a strong show of support, scholars from Izala, Tijjaniyya, Qadiriyya, and leading universities and colleges in Kano praised AA Zaura’s bold vision and pledged their full cooperation. They decried the spread of drug abuse and affirmed their readiness to use sermons, public awareness, and religious outreach to guide youths back to the right path.

This is another crucial step in transforming Kano from chaos to calm, from danger to dignity.
