In a landmark frontline engagement, His Excellency Abdussalam Abdulkarim (AA Zaura) — former senatorial candidate for Kano Central and Chairman of the AA Zaura Foundation International — sat down with the leaders of hunters and YAN DABA groups in a powerful peace dialogue aimed at ending violence, political intimidation, and street crime in Kano State.

The high-level meeting took place on Saturday, May 4th, 2025, at the L&Z Conference Hall, Nassarawa G.R.A, Kano, bringing together grassroots leaders from all 44 LGAs as part of the strategic plan for the Foundation’s Special Project: END YAN DABA Violet Crises in Kano.

AA Zaura passionately called on the youth to embrace peace, unity, dignity, and purpose, reminding them that Kano is a city of scholars, traders, and noble leaders — not chaos and crime. He emphasized that every young person has the right to live a meaningful, honorable life, and it is their responsibility to protect and uplift their own communities.

In return, the leaders pledged their full cooperation to ban street violence, phone snatching, and political thuggery, especially as the 2027 elections approach.

AA Zaura sealed the meeting with a commitment to:

• Support youth-led investments
• Fund education and vocational training
• Create dignified job opportunities
• Provide ongoing logistical and moral support
• This is not just a promise — it’s a movement.
