Mallam Adamu Muhammad, an iron bender by profession alongside his son was electrocuted while doing his daily business of iron bending to earn a living. This caused them major casualty of losing both their hands and legs while facing challenge of shelter. This sudden incidence deeply affected him and his family, leaving them in a vulnerable situation.
Upon learning of the incident, the AA Zaura Foundation, led by Abdulsalam Abdulkarim Zaura, promptly intervened to support the family.
- Provision of housing: The Foundation arranged for secure and suitable accommodation for Mallam Adamu and his family. This alleviated the immediate concern of finding shelter during a difficult time.
- Food items: The Foundation provided essential food items to ensure the family’s nutritional needs are met. This helped address the immediate financial burden of purchasing groceries.
- Cash gifts: The Foundation offered financial assistance to cover immediate expenses and contribute to the family’s well-being. The key of the house, food items and cash were offered by His Excellency Abdusalam Abdulkarim Zaura through his Campaign Organization Director General, Hon Yahaya Adamu Garin-Ali. The presentation was done by Hon Yahaya Adamu Garin-Ali and was received by Nasiru Salisu Zango on behalf of the crippled head of family. Zango commended the gesture by A. A Zaura and prayed that Almighty ALLAHU SUBHANAHU WATA’ALA reward him and grant him AljannaFiddus, adding that the victims are receiving and responding to treatment. While presenting the gift as a relief, the Director General A. A. Zaura foundation, Hon Yahya Adam Garun Ali expressed Mr Zaura’s deep shock over the incident. He said Zaura observed that the raising cases of electrocution cases in Nigeria is quite alarming, which occur as a result of man-made factors. This is contained in a statement signed by A. A. Zaura Media aide Al-Amin Ciroma noting that such eventualities must be addressed in order to save lives. Mr. Zaura charged the Network for Electricity Consumers Advocacy of Nigeria, NECAN to stand up to it’s responsibilities by creating more awareness in curbing out the problems of such a disaster in Nigeria.
